Preheat oven to 400 degree F. Line a cookie sheet with silicone sheet or parchment paper. Set aside.
In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt with whisk until totally combined.
Remove butter from freezer/fridge and grate using a box grater then add to dry mix. Using hands, gently combine until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Pour in cold milk and combine with a wooden spoon, careful not to over-mix.
Pour scraggly dough mix onto floured counter. Fold gently until combined and then pat into a rectangle. Then, fold over itself 3-4 times, turning each time, to create all those good layers.
Place into a final rectangle and using a biscuit cutter, cut into six biscuits. With extra dough, you can make mini biscuits.
Drop onto prepared baking sheet and place in oven for 15-17 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from oven, top with a whipped butter and enjoy!
