Chocolate Peppermint Popcorn

This super simple dessert has the perfect amount of chocolate and peppermint to get your fix without digging into a box of cookies!

Ingredients

  • 4 cups popped popcorn
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • 4 ounces milk or dark chocolate
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 Tablespoons hot water
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint

Instructions

  • Prepare your popcorn and set aside. Crush your peppermint, if it isn't crushed already. 
  • Make chocolate drizzle by adding butter and chocolate to a saucepan and melting over low heat, constantly stirring. Once fully melted, remove from heat and add powdered sugar, whisking to combine. Add 1-2 Tablespoons (or more) until chocolate is to your desired consistency. 
  • Scoop 2 cups of popcorn into serving bowl. Drizzle chocolate over popcorn and top with crushed peppermint. Pour additional popcorn on top and drizzle chocolate then peppermint again.
  • Serve immediately or within a few hours, enjoy!
