Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 can Dr Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon roasted granulated garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 serrano peper diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 packages Eckrich Rope Smoked Sausages

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Prepare BBQ sauce by adding all ingredients EXCEPT smoked sausages to a saucepan. Whisk until fully combined. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally for 25-30 minutes. Let cook while preparing smoked sausages.
  • To prepare smoked sausages, slice ropes into bit sized pieces. Then, add to a non-stick pan and cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until a bit caramelized.
  • Add smoked sausages to an oven-safe, preferably, cast iron pan. Gently pour BBQ sauce over smoked sausages, careful not to fill too high.
  • Place BBQ covered smoked sausages in the oven and cook for about 15 minutes.
  • Carefully remove and serve from cast iron pan with toothpicks and a cool Dr Pepper!
