Banana Bread + Once Again Hazelnut Spread = Breakfast Goodness

I received this product for free from Moms Meet to use and post my honest opinions. I mean would I ever feel any negative feelings towards hazelnut spread? The answer is no, no I wouldn’t. But, did you know that hazelnut spread and banana bread make the best combination? You do now!

I added some turbinado sugar on top of the bread before I put it in the oven. A local bakery, Fox in the Snow does this on top of their banana bread and it’s SO GOOD. Don’t be afraid to really make a thick sugar crust. It’s worth the calories. Also, I got this bag at Earth Fare when it was closing for like $2. It looks like you can get some on Amazon for less than $5, which is a great deal!

So this banana bread is pretty amazing but the real MVP is the Once Again Amoré Hazelnut Spread. I was a bit skeptical because I’m not a big N*tella fan but this is so different and so so good. This employee-owned business has been making nut butters since 1976 so they seem to know a thing or two about good products.

Rocky the raccoon also loved the banana bread. Seriously, I’m like pretty sure this is the cutest mascot.

Baby O and Rocky patiently waited for their banana bread and discussed the latest gossip on the playground. I also like to believe they discussed the fact that this hazelnut butter is Certified Organic, Non-GMO Project Verified, Gluten Free Certified, and Fair Trade Certified. That seems like something a toddler and a stuff animal discuss, right?

Tell me that adding this turbinado sugar isn’t the best idea ever. I’ll never go back. I spread the hazelnut spread on a slice of banana bread while it was still warm and it was amazing. I’m a butter on banana bread type of gal, but my opinions have totally shifted and it’s gonna be hazelnut spread from now on!

Our friends over at Once Again also gave us this nifty jar scraper that also doubled as a hazelnut spread spreader. I looked on their website and couldn’t see where to buy one but if you ever come across one, I highly suggest buying it! However, you can purchase their hazelnut spread on their website or pick it up at a local grocery store near you. I know our Whole Foods sells it, but you can check out this store locator to see where you can get your fix.

A jar of this specific product will set you back about $9.95 but it’s worth every penny. Since you only use about a Tablespoon or two with each serving, it definitely lasts a while. We used it on banana bread (obviously), but you could totally add it to some fruit, biscuits, or even as an ice cream topping. I actually think it would make an awesome ingredient in some thumbprint cookies! I mean it lasts about 10 weeks after opening but I’m pretty sure I’m gonna eat it all in one day.

Now that we’ve convinced you to fall in love with Once Again Hazelnut Spread, there is a chance for you to win an entire CASE of it… and a Rocky of your own! All you have to do is head over their Facebook page here and quickly enter some info to win. It’s open until May 9th and they’ll announce the winner on Facebook Live on May 10th!

What are you going to try first with your hazelnut spread from Once Again? If we haven’t convinced you to make banana bread, they have so many awesome recipes on their website. Not only for the delicious hazelnut spread, but for all their other products like almond butter, peanut butter, and even honey!

Finally, just another reminder that this whole dish is totally Baby O approved. But, I mean who is going to be mad about chocolatey hazelnut goodness on top of freshly baked, warm banana bread. No one will be mad about that, no one.
