I love Oreos. I love chocolate. Squish those two together and BAM, best dessert ever. We teamed up with our friends at Kroger to bring you this three ingredient dessert that is perfect for Easter.

Our favorite Ohio based grocery store has everything you need for this springtime holiday. Seriously, I spent way too long in the holiday aisle stocking up for Olivia and Finnegan’s Easter baskets.

My favorite item I got for the kiddos were some super cute unicorn and dinosaur giant plastic eggs. Well, and Starburst jellybeans because those are actually the best part of the Easter season. But, those are for mama.

Fun Recipes From Our Friends at Kroger

We know that they have everything you need in store – both pre-made items and ingredients. Did you know that Kroger also has some AWESOME recipes on their website too? Here are a few that are super perfect for Easter.

  • Bacon Wrapped Ham with Sweet and Sassy Glaze.
  • Carrot Cake Bunny Butt Pancakes.
  • Bunny Bait Bark.
  • Ginger Turmeric Mimosa.
  • Oven Baked Veggie Tart.

Three Simple Ingredients for these Amazing Chocolate Covered Oreos

Let’s talk about what you need to make these chocolate covered Oreos. Spoiler, it’s just three things.

  • Oreos. I mean, that’s obvious, right? I opted for double stuffed because YUM. But, you could use any flavor or even their new gluten free ones! The birthday cake one would be incredible and so cute for an easy birthday dessert.
  • Chocolate Chips. I used Nestle dark chocolate chips and they worked perfectly. You could use milk or white chocolate chips or even chocolate discs that melt super easy.
  • Sprinkles. Kroger has some great options for sprinkles in their baking aisle and in the seasonal area. I’m a sucker for a good seasonal sprinkle, just look in my pantry.

Here are some additional recipes that feature Kroger ingredients because we just love them oh so much.

  • Sangria Mocktail.
  • Easy Picnic Menu.
  • Peanut Butter Blossoms.

Prep Time: 5 minutes minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes minutes
Chilling Time: 30 minutes minutes
Servings: 15 cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 package Oreos
  • 1 16oz bag chocolate chips dark or milk
  • sprinkles

Instructions

  • Remove Oreos from container and set on a paper plate. Set aside another paper plate to use for dipping and decorating the cookies.
  • Melt chocolate chips using a double boiler (metal or glass bowl over a boiling pot of water). You can also microwave them but be very careful not to burn the chocolate chips.
  • One at a time, dip the Oreos in the melted chocolate covering both sides. If you don't mind getting messy, use your hands to flip or if you want to be a bit cleaner, use a fork and/or gloves.
  • Set the chocolate covered Oreos on a paper plate then decorate with your sprinkles! You can enjoy immediately but they will be a bit messy. Placing in the fridge for 30 minutes will help them firm up and be a little less messy.
