The Best Back to School Items at Costco Polaris

It’s finally back to school season and we are loading up with all the necessities from our favorite warehouse supplier, Costco Polaris! Here are our favorite items to buy to make the start to school a little bit easier for caregivers.

I love back to school season! I feel like it’s really the “new year” to me. Fresh notebooks, new clothes, and absolutely all the best lunch time snacks for the kiddos!

We’ve rounded up some of our favorite and must buy items that you can find at Costco. We did capture these at the Costco Polaris in Columbus, Ohio so some pricing and availability may vary.

  • Ziploc Baggies. We buy these whenever they are on sale at our Costco in Columbus and they seriously last all year long.
  • Clothes. Costco Polaris has so many great clothes! Their kid options are pretty affordable and
  • Sharpies. Maybe not for the younger kiddos but I love fresh sharpies! I use them for labeling all of Olivia’s school gear.
  • Yogurt Squeeze Pouches. These are vital in our household and they are a great price at Costco. Our older kiddo doesn’t eat them but they are great for our youngest to have a quick snack on the way to school drop off or in between errands.
  • Beef Sticks. These aren’t the most inexpensive but they are a great source of protein! Really easy to toss into a lunchbox.
  • Multi-Pack Snacks. This is honestly one of the things that is really great about a warehouse style store like Costco! Their multi-pack snack options are a way better price than traditional grocery stores. These are great for lunches or just easy snacks during the hustle and bustle of the back to school season.
  • Frozen Mini Pizzas. These are so easy for when we just need a quick and easy meal that both kiddos will like and sometimes maybe for us parents too.
  • Nestle Ice Cream Variety Pack. Who doesn’t need a little ice cream for back to school? Whether it’s for caregivers who need a drumstick after trying to relearn 4th grade math or for a little afternoon snack for kiddos, it’s a quality purchase.
  • Just Bare Chicken Nuggets. These are such a good copycat Chick-fil-A nugget choice! We always have at least one bag on hand and love them for recipes like this KFC copycat bowl.
  • Paper Plates. Please don’t yell at me for suggesting this! We always have paper plates on hand for those days or nights when I just can’t handle one more dish in our sink.
  • La Colombe Coffee Cans. We always have a heavy amount of caffeine in our home. We have this coffee/espresso machine but on those early mornings, sometimes it’s easier to just grab a can of La Colombe.
  • Good Laundry Detergent. Kids are messy. Not to mention when they start playing sports. Oi. Stock up on the good stuff at Costco Polaris.
  • Cracker Sliced Cheese. I’m obsessed with this cracker snack of cheese from our Costco in Columbus. These are a go-to snack for me when it’s 1PM and all I’ve had is 6 coffees.
  • Ready to Cook Mac & Cheese. I love love love this mac and cheese! It’s so simple, you just pop in the oven and cook according to package instructions! It feeds a whole crew. We typically pair it with some crispy or grilled chicken and then have leftovers for lunch too.

What did I miss on this list!? Tell us what your go-to purchases are at Costco. Bonus points if it’s at our Costco Polaris here in Columbus, Ohio!
