When is the Dublin Irish Festival?

This three day festival is the LARGEST Irish festival in the world. Seriously, bigger than Ireland itself. It is typically the first weekend of August. The next Dublin Irish Festival will be August 4th – August 6th in 2023.

Where is the Dublin Irish Festival?

The festival is located at Coffman Park – 5600 Post Road – Dublin, Ohio 43017.

There is plenty of parking in the various businesses located around the Park but it fills up FAST. You can park at Dublin Coffman High School, Cardinal Health, XPO Logistics, OCLC, and more. Some places you can walk from and others you’ll have to take a shuttle.

You can learn more about parking and transportation here on their website. Note that parking in the nearby neighborhoods is not allowed and your car may be towed.

They also have great bike parking if you want to ride your bike to the festival!

What is there to do at the Dublin Irish Festival?

There is SO much to do at the festival! It is a three day festival that has activities every hour on the hour.

Let’s start with music. In 2022, there were 7 stages and 735 performers. Let me repeat. 735 performers over 3 days! Here are a few of the performances you can enjoy during the weekend.

  • Skerryvore
  • Gaelic Storm
  • Dervish
  • Drowsy Lads
  • Red Hot Chili Pipers
  • Columbus Celtic Dancers
  • Socks in the Frying Pan

If music isn’t of the utmost importance to you, there are so many other fun experiences during the Irish Festival. Here are a few of our favorites.

  • Viking Village
  • Celtic Cooking
  • Lots of Shopping!
  • Whiskey Tastings
  • Real Irish Comedy Tour

What is there to do for kids at the Dublin Irish Festival?

There is so much to do for kids! There is a Wee Folk area that has Irish Contests where kids will be crowned reddest hair, greenest eyes or most freckles. We took advantage of the craft area which has so many awesome activities.

Kids can take part of the Kids Highland Games and compete in activities like caber toss, braemar stone, and more just like the adults. One of the most exciting ones for kids in the Pot O’ Gold Playland. There are more than 20 inflatables geared towards ages 2-12. There is a cost associated, it’s $15 for each kid for a wristband.

What else should I know about the Dublin Irish Festival?

The first weekend in August can be HOT. Luckily, the Dublin Irish Festival has an awesome setup to refill water bottles so make sure you bring a reusable water bottle.

There are PLENTY of food vendors but the lines can be long so if you get hangry, bring a snack or two while you are waiting in line.

Tickets can be bought online ahead of time or at the entrance. Typically, once a year they do a discounted sale so be sure to follow them on Instagram to watch for the sale. You can learn more about ticket sales here.

The Dublin Irish Festival is a super fun event that you can enjoy as a family or have a fun date night out without the kiddos. Hope you enjoy it however you visit!
