We LOVE the Columbus Commons. I was a 90’s Columbus kid so I remember those coveted City Center days. But, I’ll take a beautiful city-center park with FREE family events any day!

There are incredible events all year round in Downtown Columbus for your family to enjoy. You can check them out here on their website.

But, let’s highlight two FREE ones happening on Fridays and Saturdays at the Columbus Commons.

Free Commons for Kids

On Friday mornings from June 10 – August 12 (10AM-1PM), kiddos can enjoy Commons for Kids which is a pretty incredible morning filled with fun.

“When it comes to summer fun, kids are all-in. And Columbus Commons is the place to let kids, well, be kids. They get games, inflatables, and face painting. You get happy, worn-out little ones.”

Free Movie Nights Presented by Wright-Patt Credit Union

I’m loving all the free outdoor movies this summer! But, the great thing about the Columbus Commons in the area is HUGE. There is so much space for you to bring lawn chairs, blankets, snacks, and for your kiddos to dance to Encanto.

Free Movie Nights at the Columbus Commons are June 11 (Frozen 2), June 24 (The Lion King), and July 22 (Sing 2) and kick off at 8:15PM. Here are the details straight from them.

“There’s something enchanting about watching the stars of some of the hottest PG flicks under the stars of a steamy summer night. And talk about a big screen. We have a ginormous movie screen for a larger-than-life viewing of the show, plus six acres of lawn seating. No chair kicking or popcorn throwing here.”
